GRAND RAPIDS — A massive commercial construction industry expo hits Grand Rapids this week.
More than 750 industry professionals are expected to attend the second annual West Michigan Design and Construction Expo, which is scheduled from 1-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25 at the DeltaPlex Arena, located at 2500 Turner Ave. NW in Grand Rapids.
Builders Exchange of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Chapter of the Construction Specification Institute are hosting the event.
Attendees have the opportunity to participate in six AIA approved continuing education classes and networking opportunities with the region’s construction and design industry.
“This is going to bring all aspects of commercial construction together under one roof,” said Elizabeth Bovard of the Build Exchange of Michigan. “We’ll have about 100 exhibitors, with a marathon of educational classes and networking going on during the day.”
Representatives from the Michigan Department of Transportation and the state will also be onsite when the expo opens.
