As the name suggest, Tribal’s corporate culture emphasizes a team approach. In 2011, it had sales of approximately $15 million.

How have you managed to grow your company?

We have managed to grow our company by adding new products, going after new customers and partnering with existing customers to add more products.

How did you survive the recession?

We survived the recession by keeping SG&A very low, by having a talented and hard-working staff and finding solutions. By keeping positive. By sticking to our plan. Hard work!

What is the largest challenge you have at your business?

The largest challenge we have had is responding to national legislative changes regarding our products and managing the commodities market. Our raw material is copper-based, and we have seen significant increases in raw material costs over the last 2.5 years.

What is the best entrepreneurial advice you’ve received?

Stay focused. Work hard. “Keep calm and carry on.”

How do you innovate in your company?

We innovate by talking with our customers, suppliers and employees to find solutions and by building partnerships.
