Tacos El Cunado
, a popular Mexican restaurant with locations on Bridge Street and Grandville Ave. in Grand Rapids, announced this morning that they will be the newest vendor in downtown Grand Rapids’ Downtown Market Hall when it opens at the end of August. The eatery, which makes simple yet traditional Mexican fare such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas and fajitas, is owned by Mario Cascante and Hector Lopez. [10:20 a.m.]

On Sept. 18 and 19, West Michigan economic development group The Right Place and the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) will host the second annual “Proud To Manufacture In Michigan” at the Hagerty Conference Center in Traverse City. Sarah Miller Caldicott, a great grandniece of Thomas Edison, will open the event with a keynote address on Wednesday, followed by a networking reception and a BBQ dinner. Thursday will consist of more speakers and breakout sessions. On Friday, attendees will have the opportunity to tour three different area factories.
