Grand Rapids-based Fox Powersports LLC acquired two Harley Davidson dealerships in the metro Chicago area.

Fox purchased Chicago Harley-Davidson in Glenview, Ill. and Lake Shore Harley-Davidson in Libertyview, Ill. from New Orleans-based Revolution Motorsports, the company said in a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Chicago Harley-Davidson also operates a retail outlet at The Shops at North Bridge near downtown Chicago.

Fox Powersports, a division of Fox Motor Group LLC, also owns Grand Rapids Harley-Davidson, Fox Shawmut Hills and Fox Powersports of Kentwood. The company plans to add staff at both Chicago stores as they ramp up for the riding season, according to a statement.

The parent company is also in the middle of building a new Fox Ford Lincoln store at 2501 North Elston Avenue in Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago as it has operated for the past year from a temporary location at 2401 South Michigan Avenue, as MiBiz previously reported.
