Warner Norcross & Judd LLP opened a law office in Kalamazoo, its eighth in Michigan.

The new office positions the Grand Rapids-based law firm closer to clients in southwest Michigan and provides a base “to become more fully engaged with the community,” Managing Partner Doug Wagner said.

“As the largest law firm headquartered in West Michigan, opening a Kalamazoo office was the next logical step in furthering our Michigan growth strategy,” Wagner said.

The Kalamazoo office is based out of temporary space on East Michigan Avenue. Five of the six attorneys who staff the office joined Warner Norcross from other law firms. They are:

  • John N. Cooper II, a civil litigator, serves as executive partner in Kalamazoo.

  • Pamela Enslen, a litigator and mediator with experience in employment law. She previously practiced at Miller Canfield.

  • Ian Kennedy, a corporate attorney with experience in business and real estate law.

  • Jay Yelton, a litigator who has been recognized for his work on litigation readiness and e-discovery.

  • Myra Willis, who joined the firm as a senior attorney.

  • Elisabeth Von Eitzen, a partner in the Grand Rapids office whose practice focuses on creditors’ rights, bankruptcy matters and employment litigation and who will now work out of Kalamazoo.

Warner Norcross also has offices in Grand Rapids, Holland, Lansing, Macomb County, Midland, Muskegon and Southfield.
