Grand Rapids-based Davenport University has named Dr. Pamela Imperato, Ph.D, its new dean of the Donald W. Maine College of Business, according to a statement.

Previously, Imperato was dean of the College of Business at Bellevue University in Nebraska.

She will begin her new position in July.

Much of Imperato’s new position will be focused on overseeing the development of new programs, as well as general oversight of budget and operations. At Bellevue, Imperato launched a new graduate program for public administration, as well as acting as program director for the university’s Center for Healthcare, Nonprofit and Public Administration, according to the news release.

Imperato holds a Doctorate of Political Science in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of Nebraska, a Master of Administration in Critical and Creative Thinking from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emmanuel College.
