Holland-based GMB Architecture Engineering will complete its leadership transition today as the firm’s president Harm Perdok retires. Perdok has spent 31 years at the firm, having spent the last 11 as president. GMB has grown to 90 employees and has offices in Holland, Grand Rapids and Indianapolis, according to a statement.

Succeeding Perdok as president will be David Bolt, who has worked at GMB for 16 years, most recently as vice president of architecture.

“The intent of architecture is to leave the world a better place,” Perdok said in a statement. “It’s a positive profession that creates environments for people. Good architects listen and try to engage clients and help them uncover their needs versus their wants.”
