The executive leadership at Zeeland-based Tier-1 automotive supplier Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GNTX) is changing.

The manufacturer of auto dimming rearview mirrors, electronics and other products announced today that board member Mark Newton, who had served as senior vice president and corporate secretary, had departed his position and resigned from the board for “personal reasons,” according to a statement.

Gentex’s Vice President of Finance and CFO Steve Downing was promoted to fill Newton’s position while retaining his role as CFO.

As part of the company’s reconfiguration, Gentex promoted Neil Boehm to the vice president of engineering and Scott Ryan as the company’s assistant general counsel and corporate secretary.
