LG Chem invests $25M in Holland facility

LG Chem Michigan Inc. will invest $25 million into its lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant in Holland.

The new expansion will add additional production lines to the manufacturing facility to accommodate its customers in the automotive electric vehicle and energy storage markets, according to a statement released by the company.

LG Chem plans to hire an additional 80 employees by the end of the year. The company has hired 100 new workers over the past 90 days.

LG Chem Michigan  is a subsidiary of the South Korea-based LG Chem Group.
