GRAND RAPIDS — Saginaw-based finance and commercial development firm The Wirt-Rivette Group plans a new residential project near downtown Grand Rapids.

The company plans Belknap Bluff, a $3.2 million, 11-unit condominium development on Fairview Avenue in the city’s Belknap neighborhood, according to a statement.

The development will overlook the North Monroe area and the Grand River.

“The design of the project reflects an urban, yet community design, which allows owners to overlook the city, but enjoy a mature, quiet yet growing neighborhood with access to the city in minutes,” said Eric Finnigan, vice president of development and property management with Wirt-Rivette Group, in a statement.

Upon expected completion in 2017, Belknap Bluff will join other developments under construction including Orion Construction Company Inc.’s Gateway at Belknap mixed-use project and an extended Grand Valley State University health campus.
