LANSING — Neogen Corp. has acquired Rogama Indústria e Comércio Ltda. of Brazil, marking Neogen’s fourth acquisition this year.
Rogama manufactures rodenticides and insecticides and generates annual revenues of approximately $8 million, according to a statement issued by Neogen.
For Neogen (Nasdaq: NEOG), a manufacturer of food and animal safety products, this deal augments the three other acquisitions the company has completed over the last year.
In early December, Neogen purchased Quat-Chem Ltd., a chemical manufacturer of biocidal cleaning and disinfectant products based in the United Kingdom. In May, the company also completed an acquisition of Preserve International and Tetradyne LLC, both subsidiaries of Nevada-based Preserve International Corp. Both subsidiaries manufacture biological disinfectant products.
A month prior, Neogen acquired Deoxi Biotecnologia Ltda., an animal genomics lab based in Brazil.
“Combined with our recent acquisitions of Quat-Chem, Preserve International, and others, adding Rogama further solidifies Neogen as a global leader for agricultural biosecurity products and expertise,” said Jason Lilly, vice president of corporate development at Neogen.
Terms of the deal with Rogama were not disclosed.
