A new partnership and grant dollars aim to help train future technology sector employees.

The SOURCE, a Grand Rapids-based employee support nonprofit organization, has teamed up with West Michigan Works! and Detroit-based tech training company Grand Circus Detroit LLC to provide training for careers in coding, business analysis and softwaredevelopment, according to a statement.

The Grand Rapids Community Foundation has provided a $20,000 grant for the training.

The Grand Rapids program is similar to Grand Circus’ 14-week training bootcamps in Detroit. The cohorts are designed to allow participants to work while attending the trainings.

West Michigan employers participating in the first cohort include employees from Steelcase Inc., Spectrum Health and PNC Bank, according to the statement.
