Milwaukee-based Robert W. Baird & Co. has hired Barbara Paneral as vice president and financial advisor at the wealth management firm’s Grand Rapids office.

Paneral began her new role at Baird in April.

She works with individuals, families and businesses to help them create investment plans and guide them through their financial decisions.

Rob Peel, branch manager, said he's “thrilled” to welcome Paneral to the Grand Rapids office.

“I’ve known Barbara for nearly 10 years and know her to be as committed to her clients as any financial advisor I’ve seen,” Peel said. “Her dedication to them is a perfect fit for us at Baird, and she is a great complement to our atmosphere and culture here.”

Paneral’s background

Paneral has more than 20 years of investment experience.

Previously, she worked for Wells Fargo Advisors, Legacy Trust and Smith Barney.

“Baird’s conservative business philosophy, commitment to excellence and client-first culture led me to make this change,” Paneral said. “I am excited to be part of such a dynamic firm where I can continue to help my clients achieve their goals.”

She volunteers at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and Women’s Resource Center.

She holds a B.S. in finance and Spanish from Marquette University.
