Kalamazoo-based medical device manufacturer Stryker Corp. (NYSE: SYK) said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of the privately held Morrisville, Penn.-based Small Bone Innovations Inc., according to a statement.

Presented by the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, the award honors individuals who have made contributions in the community to give leadership, mentorship and opportunities to women.

A division of Boulder, Colo.-based Hill Hotel Group LLC has acquired the Holiday Inn at Kalamazoo West from Greenleaf Hospitality Group, according to a statement.

The supply chain and logistics firm — a subsidiary of Penske Truck Leasing — will be processing freight for Ford’s assembly, powertrain, stamping, service parts and reverse logistics operations, according to a release.

The Zeeland-based Herman Miller (Nasdaq: MLHR) this afternoon reported sales of $487.5 million for the fourth quarter that end May 31. That compares with $460.0 million in the same period a year earlier.

Detroit-based car dealership group The Suburban Collection has acquired Cadillac stores in Lansing and Plymouth, according to a report in Crain’s Detroit Business.


Rec Boat Holdings LLC of Cadillac has been acquired by Bénéteau Group, a French sailboat and motor boat manufacturer, according to a statement.

Lynn Calhoun, a partner at BDO USA LLP in Grand Rapids and the firm’s director of finance, was named chief financial officer of the company.

The increased production capacity means that Coppercraft expects to soon begin distribution in a number of markets such as Chicago, Colorado and Minnesota, according to a release.
