Viastore systems has hired a former Ilitch Holdings director of finance and accounting as its new North American operations chief financial officer.

Don Keller will be responsible for the financial strategy of the maker of automated material handling equipment and oversee all finance functions, including external reporting, audit, tax, risk management and business unit finance.

Grand Rapids-based viastore systems has nearly 400 employees worldwide and annual sales of more than $135 million.

Don Keller

Keller has provided professional services to a range of Ilitch-owned Companies: Little Caesars, Blue Line Food Distribution, Champion Foods, Little Caesars Pizza Kits, Olympia Entertainment, Olympia Development, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers and Uptown Entertainment.

Prior to that, Keller was director of finance at Budco: The Dialogue Company, a Detroit-based fulfillment and direct marketing company.

“We’re excited to have Don join the viastore executive team,” said Tom Tobin, president and CEO of viastore systems. “He is an experienced executive who brings a high level of business development and financial knowledge. We believe that he will be a valuable asset to viastore, as we look to grow our position within the automated material handling industry.”

Keller holds an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a B.B.A. in finance and management from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration.

Joe Stojak

Keller is replacing Joe Stojak, who will be stepping down from viastore after a transition period. Stojak has been with viastore since 1993.

“Joe has been a key member of the executive team at viastore and helped guide the company effectively,” Tobin said. “We want to congratulate Joe on his over 20 years of service to viastore.”
