NILES — Broder Bros Co., the owner of national apparel retailer Alphabroder, plans to close its Niles facility by Sept. 30, 2016, according to a filing with the Worker Adjustment Retraining and Notification (WARN) act.
The Pennsylvania-based retailer employs three full-time staff members and 89 temporary workers at its Niles facility, located at 2121 W. Chicago Rd.
All positions will be terminated permanently as a result of the closure, according to the WARN notice.
The company plans to begin layoffs on August 1, 2016.
A company representative did not respond to a request to comment on the facility closure.
