Detroit-based law firm Bodman PLC has opened an office in Grand Rapids, its fifth in Michigan.
Floyd Gates Jr., formerly of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone PLC, joined Bodman to lead the new office. He’s a member of the Bodman’s banking, business, and litigation and alternative dispute resolution practice groups.
“Grand Rapids presents a growth opportunity for Bodman as we have a number of clients with offices and operations in West Michigan,” said Bodman Chairman Ralph McDowell said. “Our new Grand Rapids office will allow us to serve these clients with even better responsiveness and efficiency.”
Bodman is located temporarily in the Calder Plaza Building at 250 Monroe Ave. NW in downtown. The law firm also has offices in Detroit, Troy, Ann Arbor and Cheboygan.
