LAKE ODESSA — Cargill Kitchen Solutions will invest $27 million in a 28,000-square-foot expansion at the company’s egg processing facility in Lake Odessa.
The new investment will expand the company’s egg processing and production capabilities, according to a statement.
Cargill will hire an additional 50 workers as a result of the expansion, bringing total employment at the facility to 236 people.
“This investment underscores our commitment to grow our egg business and meet the needs of our customers,” Jay Patel, plant manager at the facility, said in the statement.
A previous $10.6 million investment in 2014 added an additional 22,500 square feet of cooler and storage space to the facility.
