LANSING — The West Michigan office of commercial real estate brokerage Colliers International Inc. has expanded to the Lansing market.
The firm has hired 20-year Lansing real estate veteran Jerome Abood, with plans to continue expanding in the area, according to a statement.
“Colliers has a strong presence across Michigan with offices in Grand Rapids, Holland, Detroit and Ann Arbor. With Lansing at the center of each of these markets, it’s a natural expansion to bring the Colliers’ name and services backed by experience and expertise to the market,” Abood said in a statement. “There are a lot of opportunities in Lansing, and I am looking forward to becoming a part of the expansion and growth of the Colliers’ brand in the local community with the Colliers’ team behind me.”
Abood will work out of the firm’s new office at 246 East Saginaw St. in East Lansing and will focus on investment, office, industrial, retail, multi-family and corporate solutions, according to the statement.
As the firm expands in the area, it plans to begin focusing on property management and facilities maintenance.
“Part of our growth strategy is making sure we’re providing our clients across West Michigan and beyond with the highest-quality customer service,” Colliers West Michigan Managing Director Jon Potvin said in a statement. “Jerome is a great asset for our expansion efforts in the Lansing market because of his unique skill set, invaluable experience and local connections. Jerome is an influential leader in Lansing’s real estate market and we are truly excited to have him on board.”
