Grand Rapids Community College has today named Bill Pink as the college’s next president.
Pink currently serves as GRCC’s vice president and dean for workforce development. He previously was vice president for academic affairs at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City. Pink also is a public speaker, giving talks on diversity, leadership, career and workforce development.
He was chosen by the school’s board from a pool of three candidates.
“Throughout the extensive interview process, it became clear that he has the level of expertise and vision necessary to take the college to the next level,” said board Chairperson Bert Bleke.
The appointment will become official once contract details are finalized between the GRCC board and Pink, according to the statement.
