ZEELAND — Lakeshore Advantage released its annual year-end review.
Over the course of 2015, the Zeeland-based economic development firm helped create 780 new jobs and facilitate $110 million of private investment among 22 companies in Ottawa County, according to a statement.
Lakeshore Advantage also launched an “aggressive” investment campaign that resulted in a 40-percent increase in funding for the organization from 32 new members, according to the statement. The additional funding will allow the organization to support further companies along the Lakeshore.
“Ottawa County currently has the lowest unemployment rate in the state,” said Lakeshore Advantage President, Jennifer Owens. “Our team is privileged to work proactively to achieve this vitality, while continuing to develop initiatives that will help to address future challenges and opportunities.”
