HART — A project to build a 24-unit multifamily development in Hart has secured nearly $3.7 million in loans from the board of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
Oceana Home Partnership serves as the lead agency on the $4.7 million affordable housing development featuring apartments and townhomes, according to a statement from MSHDA.
Dewitt-based Gryphon Group LLC, a development and consulting firm, will oversee the project. T.R. Hovey Construction LLC, also based in Dewitt, will handle the build-out of Woodland Place, located at 600 Water St. in Hart.
Both companies list Tim Hovey as the registered agent, according to state filings.
According to MSHDA, half of the units at Woodland Place will be dedicated for homeless, people with special needs and domestic violence victims. The other half will be rented to individuals at 60 percent of the area median income.
