The joint venture known as G.O. Construction, consisting of Grand Rapids-based Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. (O-A-K) and Holland-based GDK Construction Co., has completed $42.8 million worth of construction projects for Hope College in Holland.

The two firms worked together to complete the college’s Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts and the Kruizenga Art Museum, according to a statement. The cost for the two projects was $35 million and $7.8 million, respectively.

The joint venture between the companies goes back to 2010 when the two firms were hired to manage $40 million worth of K-12 construction projects for three different districts.

The joint venture team is currently working with Holland Township, West Ottawa Public Schools and Zeeland Public Schools on several additional projects, according to a statement.
