BRONSON — Bronson Precision Products plans to permanently close its facility located in Bronson, Mich., south of Battle Creek, between March 18 and March 31, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notice filed with the state.
The closure is expected to affect 125 employees at the facility. Layoffs began Feb. 15.
Bronson Precision cited a failure to secure the capital it needed to continue operations as the reason for the closure.
Bronson Precision’s parent company, Bloomfield Hills-based Royal Oak Industries LLC is also closing its Royal Oak Boring Inc. subsidiary located in Port Huron, according to a separate WARN notice filed by the company.
Executives from Royal Oak Industries were not available for comment.
