WYOMING — A Farmington Hills-based hotel operator continues to look at southwestern Kent County as a target for continued growth in hospitality.
Stellar Hospitality LLC today announced plans to build three new hotels in phases on a parcel of land along Clyde Park Ave. SW south of 54th Street in Wyoming.
The hospitality company said in a statement that it will first build a 107-room Holiday Inn Express with construction set to begin this summer. Following that, the company plans to build a Marriott TownPlace Suites and Courtyard by Marriott on the site, which will total 230 rooms.
The site at 5830 Clyde Park Ave. SW is registered to the Knights of Columbus organization, according to Kent County property records.
Construction on the anticipated $30 million development will be handled by Farmington Hills-based Asmar Construction Company Inc.
Additionally, Stellar Hospitality owns a Hampton Inn at the 54th Street and U.S.-131 interchange and plans to build a Fairfield Inn & Suites on the campus of Metro Health village, as MiBiz reported in February.
“It is our aim to add to the momentum of this already thriving area of Wyoming by becoming the primary provider of best-in-class hospitality for both business and leisure guests to the West Michigan area,” Malik Abdulnoor, CEO of Stellar Hospitality, said in a statement.
