Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids-based architecture and engineering firm TowerPinkster has garnered national praise.

The company was recently named “Best Architecture Firm To Work For in the Nation” during the Zweig Group 2016 Hot Firm & A/E Awards Conference in Phoenix earlier this month, according to a statement.

“We accepted the award on behalf of our team members whose passion for their work, commitment to the community and involvement in mentorship makes our offices lively and enjoyable places to work,” TowerPinkster President and CEO Bjorn Green said in a statement.

Green attended the conference with the company’s human resources manager, Carrie Hoch-Mortlock.

“It is an honor [for TowerPinkster] to be recognized as a leader in this field,” Hoch-Mortlock said in a statement. “This award reflects the dedication and passion of our great employees. It is great to know that our industry acknowledges the importance of employee engagement with culture-focused awards and programs.”

To receive the award, TowerPinkster engaged its approximately 100 employees in a survey process and more than 94 percent believed that the firm was among the best to work for in the architecture industry and the same percentage said they’d recommend working for the company to a friend.

TowerPinkster’s employees also rated the company high for management, ethics, quality of work and compensation benefits, according to the statement.
