HOLLAND CHARTER TWP. — Custom metal fabricator Impact Fabrication Inc. plans to expand its existing facility near Holland.
The company, which specializes in short-run production, prototyping and machine building, plans to invest $4.6 million into the project, which will tack on 52,000 square feet of additional space to its home facility at 3440 John F Donnelly Drive
“We are proud to be expanding our manufacturing and warehousing operations in Holland Charter Township and look forward to keeping and increasing the number of highly paid, skilled trade jobs we offer,” Impact Fab President Ross Haan said in a statement.
The company’s home of Holland Charter Township also agreed to support the project through a recently-approved 12-year Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption.
Haan recently spoke with MiBiz about his company’s advances in Industry 4.0, investing in a welding cobot, dabbling in additive (3D) printing with additional investments on the horizon.
“Impact Fab is a great example of a company that is utilizing Industry 4.0 efforts to maximize ROI,” said Jennifer Owens, President of economic development organization Lakeshore Advantage, which worked to connect Impact Fab with resources to execute its expansion.
“This expansion will allow Impact Fab to continue increasing efficiency for their highly skilled workforce. Impact Fab is another great example of a local company diversifying in order to remain future-focused and strong.”
