GRAND RAPIDS — Professional services firm BDO USA LLP has relocated its service center to a Franklin Partners LLC-owned building at 5300 Patterson Avenue, the development firm announced today.
BDO will lease a 35,000-square-foot space in the newly-renovated office building at 5300 Patterson Avenue, moving its 211-person Grand Rapids Business Service Center to that location, according to a statement.
“BDO was drawn to 5300 Patterson because of the open, bright and flexible space, and on-site amenities, such as the tenant fitness center and full service café, which support our exceptional workplace strategy,” David Stasiewicz, director of corporate planning and development for BDO, said in a statement. “Numerous collaborative areas help to create a dynamic workplace for our people and also the opportunity to bring the whole office together. Our team is excited and getting acclimated.”
Following BDO’s lease, the 140,000-square-foot building will be 95-percent occupied. In 2014, the industrial portion of the building was separated from the offices to create two standalone properties, opening up space for additional parking. Franklin Partners invested in a “significant renovation” to transform it into a Class A office building.
“Our investment in this property has helped to cultivate an atmosphere where sophisticated tenants can deliver an exceptional workplace experience to help attract and retain talent,” Don Shoemaker, partner of Franklin Partners, said in a statement.
The building also houses Kellogg Global Service Center, Kellogg Community Credit Union, Maxim Healthcare and Varipro.
