Leo’s Coney Island, yoga studio among retailers to open at Studio Park

GRAND RAPIDS — Studio Park developers announced Tuesday that five retailers and a restaurant will be included in the downtown development.

They include include Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse, Leo’s Coney Island, Pump House Frozen Yogurt Bar, Malamiah Juice Bar, and One Twenty Three, the development’s flagship restaurant described as a “new American tavern.”

“Having the right mix of local businesses at Studio Park is an important part of the experience that we are trying to create for residents and visitors,” JD Loeks, President of Studio C, said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more pleased with those that have already committed to join us and are equally excited about some of the surprises still in store.”

Its Studio Park site will be Funky Buddha’s fourth studio location in West Michigan. Pump House is a Michigan-owned yogurt shop with locations in Grand Rapids, Grand Haven and Rockford, according to its website.

Leo’s is a Detroit-based Greek restaurant with dozens of locations across Michigan, bringing an “affordable addition” to the downtown food scene, according to Studio Park. Malamiah currently operates in the Downtown Market and provides specialty juices and smoothies.

Construction on all of the spaces is ongoing, with interior buildout slated to begin in May.
